Would you like to make a difference in the life of a family during the end-of-life process? Interested in volunteering for hospice? Compassus hospice is providing a 5-week course with a wealth of end-of-life information. It is free and open to the public. The course is facilitated by professionals from Compassus hospice team\, who will share their experiences and expertise in a dynamic and interactive format. The curriculum will provide a foundation of end-of-life information including: Death awareness Hospice philosophy Medical Aspects of Hospice Pain and Symptom management Terminal Diseases The dying process End-of-life decisions Spirituality Grief and Bereavement Family Dynamics Advanced Directives Health and Safety Self-care and boundaries Volunteers' Role in hospice The class provides valuable information for people who may be faced with caring for a loved one in the future or anyone who is interested in exploring becoming a hospice volunteer. Those who complete the 5-week course may choose to continue with additional sessions that would provide them with the specific information needed to serve as a hospice volunteer.\n\n\n\nThe class is FREE to attend\, but space is limited due to proper social distancing requirements.
